reuben burger

This burger takes a delicious, real beef patty and makes it even better by adding, you guessed it, more beef. Topped with Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut and a Thousand Island dressing, this burger is a delicious recipe fitting for St. Patty's Day or any other time you just have a craving for corned beef. 

Reuben Burger

  •    Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 4 beef hamburger patties
  • 8 slices corned beef
  • 4 pretzel buns
  • 1 container sauerkraut
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 container Thousand Island sauce or Russian Dressing
  • 1 tbs butter

Instructions

  • 1. Salt and pepper hamburger patties. Cook until they reach an internal temperature of 160° F.  Top with Swiss cheese until melted. 

  • 2. Remove hamburger patties and add corned beef to warm. Once warmed through, remove from pan. 

  • 3. Add butter to pan and melt. Split pretzel buns in half and toast in the butter. Remove. 

  • 4. Add sauce, burger, corned beef and sauerkraut. Enjoy.
