  • 2-3 tbs butter
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 pound 93% lean or leaner ground beef
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Heat saucepan to medium-high heat. Add butter and chopped onions; cook until onions are translucent, making sure not to brown the butter.

  2. Add beef, garlic, salt and pepper; cook 8 to 10 minutes, breaking ground beef into 3/4-inch crumbles and stirring occasionally.

  3. Add cream of chicken soup and reduce heat to a simmer for five minutes. 

  4. Remove from heat. Add sour cream. Mix thoroughly. Serve over egg noodles or rice.
