Kansas Beef Endurance Team

The Kansas Beef Endurance Team is made up of nearly 400 athletes and fitness enthusiasts from across the state of Kansas. We are a diverse community of runners, triathletes, ranchers, moms, dads, college students and professionals that rely upon the health benefits of lean beef to fuel our healthy and active lifestyles. When we cross the finish line in our Team Beef Jerseys, we feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. Even better, we also feel a sense of community that pushes us to become stronger. Team Beef FAQs

Section 1: General

While we have many beef producers on the team, you don’t have to have any experience in beef production or agriculture to be part of the community. Our team is open to anyone who values living a healthy and active lifestyle and fuels their workouts with beef.
Team Beef is for athletes of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels who are passionate about leading an active and healthy lifestyle and fueling their workouts with lean beef. Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey, enjoy the frequent 5K, are a marathon runner, elite cyclist, or triathlete, you have a place on Team Beef.
We’d be thrilled to welcome you to Kansas, but we also want to make sure you don’t miss the Team Beef programs available in your home state. Many states offer their own great opportunities, and participating locally ensures you get the full experience.
Affiliate members do not get reimbursed for their first year. Consider this a “getting to know you period”. Affiliate members who compete in races throughout the year in approved jerseys may be eligible to be elevated to active membership.
As of 2019, members must participate in at least one approved race per year to maintain active membership. Since this is a new requirement, all members will be considered “active” going into 2019. If you don’t maintain active membership, you must submit an application again and go through the approval process to receive reimbursement. Applications open in the Fall of each year and new / reactivated members will be notified in January the following year.
While we completely support and encourage children to lead active and healthy lifestyles, we currently do not have a kids program. We do offer Team Beef T-Shirts for children of all ages who are participating in fun runs. You can purchase these through our Jackroo store.
Sign-ups are from November to December. We notify new members in January. There may be additional sign-up periods throughout the year as needed. Talk to a Team Beef member for more information.
The program is funded by Kansas beef producers through the Beef Checkoff. For more information about the Kansas Beef Council and the Beef Checkoff, visit our About Us page.
  • Promote the benefits of beef as part of an active and healthy lifestyle.
  • Promote all beef. The checkoff legally cannot market one type or brand of beef over another.
  • Actively spread the word and help educate people who seek information about beef.

  • You must be an active member to receive reimbursement.
  • Reimbursements must be submitted to our online form within 30 days of the race.
  • In order to receive reimbursement, Team Beef apparel must be visibly worn on the outermost layer for the entire duration of the event. If there is cold weather or rain, plan accordingly and order one of our approved jackets or wind breakers.
  • Hydration packs that cover the best or any part of the chest will not be allowed starting January 1, 2026. If hydration is needed, please use a hip pack or other form of hydration that does not cover the back or chest.

If you’re screenshotting a receipt on your phone, make sure you include all the above information. You may need to submit images. KBC will not reimburse for early packet pickups, t-shirts, or other swag / gear. Only the race registration will be paid for.
